Rabya Kulsoom calls out people who call her parchi

The daughter of famous actress Parveen Akbar, Rabya Kulsoom, has never received professional support from her mother. As a young girl, Rabya often visited dramas set with her mother and she was always fascinated by the industry. The actress once revealed that her family forbade her to act, but after getting married, her husband Rehan Nazim was very supportive and has been her main support since she started her career.

Rabya recently made an appearance in One-on-One show where she called out people calling her a ‘Parchi’ in the industry. The host asked Rabya, “Did your mother ever recommend you?”She replied, No! She never recommended us, neither me nor my brother Faizan. We have said this on many forums. She has said that if you want to do work then do it on your own and don’t think that I will help you to move forward. She said that I haven’t done this for me neither I will do it for you.”

She added, when someone calls us a parchi or points towards nepotism then we answer by saying that if we were a parchi we would start from the above. We have come as newcomers and struggling like one.” She further added, If you label us with the tag of nepotism then we would have been somewhere else. I and my brother would be doing lead roles then.”
