Court summons Asif Zardari, others in Park Lane reference
ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court summoned former President Asif Ali Zardari and other accused in the Park Lane reference.
The Park Lane reference was heard in the Accountability Court of Islamabad. Judge Muhammad Bashir of the Accountability Court conducted the hearing. The lawyer said that when the agreement was signed, Asif Zardari was not the director of Park Lane, to which the court said that notices should be given now and the rest should be told later.
The court issued summon notices to Asif Zardari and other accused in the Park Lane reference and adjourned the hearing of the case till December 20.
Earlier, 15 suspects, including former Asif Zardari, were summoned to the Accountability Court of Islamabad in the Thatta water supply reference, and while issuing summons notices to all the accused, the accused were directed to appear in the court on December 18.
It should be noted that the amendments in NAB were declared null and void by the Supreme Court, due to which the process has started again.
