Pak-Afghan border passport system launched
CHAMAN: The passport system has been introduced at the Pak-Afghan border, under which the movement at the border will now be carried out only on passport.
According to the details, for the first time on the Pak-Afghan border, passport-based travel was done. Deputy Commissioner Raja Athar Abbas said that the passport system has been implemented on the Pak-Afghan border, under which the travel on the border will now be based on passport only.
Raja Athar Abbas said that people without passport visas should avoid traveling towards the border.
It should be noted that the deadline for the return of illegally residing foreigners in Pakistan has expired and the nationwide operation for repatriation has started from today.
For the first time in the country’s history, an order of deportation has been issued to all provinces under the Foreign Act 1946. According to the decree, the illegally residing foreigners under investigation and sentenced for minor crimes will be deported.
The caretaker government has warned that strict action will be taken if any Pakistani is found involved in giving shelter to illegal immigrants.
The security forces have completed the process of identifying the illegally resident Afghans by mapping and geofencing. The illegal residents will be camped in the holding centers. More than 126,017 Afghan refugees have gone back.
