ISLAMABAD: In view of the security situation in Islamabad, it has been decided to keep the International Islamic University closed till January 26.

Many educational institutions of Islamabad are closed for the second day today in view of security, many educational institutions including many universities and colleges of the federal capital were closed yesterday.

Security is already tight in Islamabad due to the elections and sit-ins at the press club, besides a grand search operation is underway in the federal capital and surrounding areas.

On the other hand, Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi said that all the educational institutions of Islamabad are not closed.

He said that where there is any danger, the state will fulfill its responsibility for the safety of children and citizens.

On the other hand, International Islamic University Islamabad and its constituent units will remain closed from January 23 to January 26 2024 due to the security situation in Islamabad.
