Dubai RTA plans auction for special number plates

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is organizing a special number plate auction, featuring unique plates with 2, 3, 4, and 5 digits suitable for private vehicles, vintage cars, and motorbikes. Key details of the event include:

• Auction Date and Time: Scheduled for February 19, starting at 8 am.
• Plate Types: The auction encompasses 350 fancy number plates.
• Available Codes: Alphabetic codes ranging from A to Z are available for these plates.

• Bidder Registration: Registration for the 74th online auction opened on February 12, requiring each bidder to possess a traffic file in Dubai.
• Payment and Fees: Bidders must submit a security check of Dh5,000 and a non-refundable entry fee of Dh120. Payments can be made at designated Customer Happiness Centers or online via credit card through www.rta.ae or the Dubai Drive app. Additionally, a 5% VAT applies to the sale of vehicle number plates in the auction.
