Government Hospitals to Recruit Doctors Through New PPSC Written Exam
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination has banned the foreign visits of government doctors.
According to the circular issued by the Federal Ministry of Health, government doctors have been banned from going abroad at the expense of pharma companies and donors. The government doctors will not get leave for conferences and seminars abroad.
The decision is aimed at breaking the nexus between doctors and pharmaceutical companies, officials said, adding that more steps are being taken to break the nexus between doctors and pharma companies.
Officials said that the decision of the Federal Ministry of Health will apply to the doctors of the federal hospitals, while doctors are banned from prescribing vitamins, minerals, and food supplements throughout the country.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) have been mobilized against corruption.
