The Prime Minister of Pakistan is anticipated to make a decision regarding the petrol price for the next 15 days, considering recent fluctuations in global crude oil markets.

Media reports indicate that crude oil prices have surged over the past two weeks in international markets. London Brent Oil rose by 2.10% to reach $83.80 per barrel, and American crude oil futures increased by 1.48% to reach $79.40 per barrel.

The depreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar has further influenced the situation, prompting suggestions for adjustments in petroleum product prices.

According to reports, there is a proposal to increase petrol prices by one rupee per liter. Additionally, there is a recommendation for an 80-paisa increase in high-speed diesel prices, a one-rupee increase in kerosene oil prices, and a decrease of 1.50 rupees per liter in light-speed diesel prices.
