Two terrorists killed in separate operations in KP: ISPR
RAWALPINDI: Two terrorists were killed in separate operations conducted by security forces in two in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
According to the Inter Public Services Public Relations(ISPR), an intelligence based operation (IBO) was conducted in Khyber district.
During the conduct of operation, after an intense exchange of fire, terrorist ring leader Shamrooz alias Sheenay, was sent to hell by the security forces.
In another operation conducted by the security forces in Dera Ismail Khan district where a terrorist Mansoor was also successfully neutralized.
The statement said weapons, ammunition & explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as extortion & target killings of innocent civilians, and were highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies.
Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area.
Locals of the area appreciated the operations and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
Earlier, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir visited Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) as chief guest at the rollout ceremony of HAIDER tank (Pilot Project).
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador of the Peoples Republic of China, key officials of Chinese state company NORINCO, high officials of Government of Pakistan & Pakistan Army, and various military and civilian officials of HIT, an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release said.
