Eid Al Fitr 2024: Free Parking Announced For Eid Holidays in UAE

• Parking in Dubai will be free for six days during Eid al-Fitr, from the 29th of Ramadan to the 3rd of Shawaal.
• The RTA announced that vehicle testing centers will be open on Ramadan 29 and Shawwal 3.
• Dubai Metro will operate from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. on most days during April 6–14.

Parking in Dubai will be free for at least six days during the Eid al-Fitr holidays, as announced by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Friday. The waiver of parking fees will be in effect from the 29th of Ramadan to the 3rd of Shawaal in the Islamic calendar.

From Monday, April 8, to April 12, there will be no parking charges if Eid al-Fitr falls on April 10. Since parking is already free on Sundays in Dubai, drivers can enjoy six consecutive days of complimentary parking across the Emirates.

If Eid al-Fitr happens on April 9, free parking will be available for only five days, starting on April 8 and ending on April 12. Paid parking will resume on the 4th of Shawaal, which is the fourth day of Eid.

The RTA has also announced the operating hours for its services during the Eid al-Fitr holidays. Vehicle testing centers will be open on the 29th of Ramadan and the 3rd of Shawwal.

Customer Happiness Centers

During the Eid holidays, all customer happiness centers will be closed. However, the Smart Customer Centers located at Umm Ramool, Deira, Barsha, and Al Kifaf centers and the RTA Head Office will continue to operate as usual, 24/7.

Dubai Metro

The Dubai Metro will run from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. on April 6, 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Sunday, April 7, 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. from Monday to Saturday, April 8–13, and 8 a.m. to midnight on Sunday, April 14.

Dubai Tram

Monday to Saturday: 6 a.m.–1 a.m., and Sunday: 9 a.m.–1 a.m. (next day).

Dubai Bus

During the Eid Al Fitr holiday, Dubai buses and intercity buses will have adjusted operating hours. Commuters can check the updated timing for Dubai Metro and marine transport on the RTA app. Information about marine transport, such as water taxis, Dubai Ferry, and Abra, can also be accessed through the RTA app.
