Karachi Airport secretly sold for $1.8 Billion? Details here
Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport is gearing up for a month-long maintenance operation initiated by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) aimed at enhancing passenger safety. The primary focus of this operation is to address the accumulation of rubber debris from aircraft tires on the main runway, ensuring a safer and smoother journey for travelers.
The maintenance work commenced on April 4 and is scheduled to continue until May 3. To minimize disruptions to flight schedules, the CAA has strategically planned the maintenance activities during specific hours on weekdays, from Monday to Friday.
The runway closure schedule is as follows:
Notably, weekends will be free from maintenance activities, with no work planned on Saturdays and Sundays.
Despite the temporary closure of the main runway during these designated hours, flight operations will continue as usual. Flights will be redirected to the secondary runway, ensuring uninterrupted travel schedules for passengers.
This proactive approach by the CAA reflects its commitment to maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency at Jinnah International Airport. By addressing safety concerns through timely maintenance, the CAA aims to provide a secure and seamless travel experience for all passengers.
