Amara Athar, the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Lahore, has instructed officials to levy substantial fines on motorcyclists found without helmets.
She emphasized that riding motorcycles in Lahore without a safety helmet will not be tolerated, and starting today, motorcyclists will be prohibited from using Mall Road and other major thoroughfares.
Athar announced plans for a crackdown on several roads, including Canal Road and Jail Road, targeting individuals riding bikes without helmets. She stated that a fine of Rs2,000 will be imposed on motorcyclists caught without helmets in Lahore.
