Eid Ul Adha 2024 Saudi Arabia: Prayer timings in UAE
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has announced that Eidul Adha 2024 is likely to be observed on Monday, June 17. This prediction is based on data from the PMD’s Climate Data Processing Center, which indicates that the crescent moon for Dhul-Hijjah is expected to be born on June 6 at 5:38 PM.
The PMD has provided detailed information regarding the visibility of the moon. In Karachi, the moon will be 26 hours and 8 minutes old at sunset, with an anticipated visibility duration of 72 minutes after sunset. Despite these scientific predictions, the final decision on the moon sighting will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
According to the official holiday calendar for 2024, the Eidul Adha holidays are scheduled from June 17 to June 19. Given that government offices are typically closed on weekends, the holiday period will effectively commence on Saturday, June 15.
If Eidul Adha is officially confirmed for June 18, the federal government is expected to adjust the holiday schedule accordingly. A formal notification detailing any changes to the holiday dates will be issued by the federal government in the days leading up to Eidul Adha.
As preparations for Eidul Adha begin, the PMD’s prediction offers a tentative date for the festivities. However, the final confirmation from the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will solidify the exact day of celebration. The expected holidays from June 17 to June 19 will provide an extended break for the public, allowing ample time for the traditional observances and family gatherings associated with this important religious festival.
