Fast-Track Passport Fees in Pakistan 2024: Updated Rates and New Charges

The federal government of Pakistan has recently revealed a substantial hike in the fees for fast-track passport processing. Citizens are now required to pay an additional Rs 2,500 to obtain this essential travel document, valid for a period of five years.

The Directorate General Immigration and Passports has released an official notification outlining the updated fee schedule. Under the revised structure, the cost for fast-track passport processing now falls within the range of Rs 12,500 to Rs 32,000.

Fast Track Passport Updated Fees

The revised rates are as follows:

36-page passport: The fee for a five-year fast-track passport has increased by Rs 2,500, bringing the total to Rs 12,500. For a ten-year validity, the fee is Rs 23,000. The fee for a ten-year machine-readable passport with 36 pages is Rs 16,200.

72-page passport: A ten-year machine-readable passport with 72 pages will cost Rs 25,200.

100-page passport: A ten-year machine-readable passport with 100 pages can obtained for Rs 32,000.

This hike in passport fees, announced on March 7, means citizens will have to pay an additional 50 percent for ordinary and urgent passports.

Fee Hike for Ordinary and Urgent Passports in Pakistan

The cost of a standard 36-page passport valid for five years has increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,500, with the urgent processing fee rising from Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,500. Similarly, for a ten-year validity 36-page passport, the fee has gone up to Rs 6,700 from Rs 4,500, while the urgent processing fee for this category is now Rs 11,200.

For a 72-page ordinary passport valid for five years, the fee is now Rs 8,200, with an urgent processing fee of Rs 13,500. For a ten-year validity, the fees are Rs 12,400 and Rs 20,200 for standard and urgent processing, respectively.

For a 100-page passport valid for five years, the new fee is Rs 9,000 for standard processing and Rs 18,000 for urgent processing. Likewise, for a ten-year validity passport with 100 pages, the fees are Rs 13,500 for standard processing and Rs 27,000 for urgent processing.
