Karachi, Hyderabad, and other regions of Sindh are bracing for a significant rise in day temperatures this week, with levels expected to soar 3–5 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average. However, relief is on the horizon for the weekend, as gusty winds and rainfall are predicted to restore temperature normalcy.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reports that a high-pressure system will dominate the upper atmosphere across the country, particularly impacting the southern regions. Additionally, a westerly wave is set to sweep into the western territories by the evening of May 10th, extending its influence to the upper parts by May 11th.

This weather pattern will trigger a gradual increase in daytime temperatures across Sindh, including major cities like Karachi and Hyderabad, throughout the week. From May 8th to 10th, temperatures are expected to remain elevated, ranging from 03 to 05 degrees Celsius above the usual levels in certain parts of the province.
