Punjab Enrolls 72,640 Students in Registrations For Petrol, E-Bikes
The Punjab government has collected 72,640 student applications through the Chief Minister’s Youth Initiative Bikes Portal, created by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
Among the 72,640 applications, 57,366 are for petrol motorcycles, and 15,274 are for e-bikes. Initially set for April 29, 2024, the registration deadline was extended to May 1, 2024, due to the high number of applicants.
The Punjab government is offering 20,000 motorcycles to students on installment plans. It will assist with the down payment and provide bikes through a convenient monthly installment scheme.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf mentioned that the portal facilitated students in submitting online applications for bikes.
