AJK Court grants bail to poet Ahmed Farhad
Muzaffarabad: Azad Jammu and Kashmir(AJK) High Court on Friday granted bail to poet Ahmed Farhad.
The High Court of Azad Kashmir granted bail to Ahmad Farhad against a surety bond of Rs 200,000.
It should be noted that the poet Ahmed Farhad was missing from the federal capital Islamabad in the month of May, for which his wife Urooj Zainab filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court.
After the plea was filed, the Azad Kashmir Police revealed their arrest.
Later, the federal government also announced the arrest of missing poet and journalist Ahmed Farhad from Islamabad after 15 days on May 29.
Earlier, Islamabad High Court (IHC) had declared Farhad as a missing person until he returned back to his home and termed his arrest illegal.
The court’s order read that the poet was missing since May 15 and couldn’t reach home, while a first information report (FIR) regarding his disappearance was registered with the Lohebher Police Station in Islamabad under Section 427 and 365 PPC.
