FIA summons PTI leaders on Sheikh Mujib tweet case
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leaders over uploading Sheikh Mujib ur Rehman from the official X account of former prime minister Imran Khan.
The FIA summoned Barrister Gohar Khan, Omar Ayub, and Rauf Hassan over uploading the former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rehman’s video from the official account of the PTI founder.
FIA has earlier issued a notice to the PTI founder on the issue of video uploading. Now FIA has issued notices to Omar Ayub, Barrister Gauhar Khan, and Rauf Hassan.
FIA issued notices on the illegal use of Imran Khan’s X account.
The notice said that the PTI founder’s official account has tried to incite people against the state and state institutions. The official account of the founder of PTI is likely to spread fear and anxiety among the people.
The notice stated provocations can also incite people to take the law into their own hands against the state and institutions.
The notice said that the three PTI leaders had been called for an inquiry at 11 am on Tuesday.
It should be noted that a video related to the fall of Dhaka was shared by the official account of the social media website X (formerly Twitter) of the PTI founder.
