Huawei reports increase in sales revenue
In Islamabad, Huawei, China’s top company, will begin training young Pakistanis in various technology courses starting next month, in July 2024.
Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja announced that Huawei, the Chinese tech firm, had agreed to provide training to Pakistani youth during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to China.
She emphasized that youth constitute 70% of Pakistan’s total population, highlighting that providing them with IT training would create employment opportunities.
The Chinese company will commence training young Pakistanis in various fields of information technology and artificial intelligence.
Huawei will offer three- to six-month IT courses aimed at teaching modern technologies, enabling participants to earn respectable incomes in both local and international markets.
Courses are expected to be conducted in various cities across Pakistan, starting in July next month.
The government has not yet disclosed details about the application process for the IT courses. Updates on how to apply for the courses will be provided here once announced by the government.
It is anticipated that the youth will receive free training as part of the initiative launched by the government. However, the final decision in this matter will be made by the authorities.
