LHC fixes Punjab Defamation Law case for hearing
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court(LHC) has accepted the petition against Punjab Defamation Law 2024 for hearing, the date of hearing will be announced later.
Earlier the registrar office objected that the copy of the gazette notification of Punjab Defamation Law was not attached with the petition, after submitting the copy of the notification the registrar office removed the objection.
The petitioner is of the opinion that the Punjab Defamation Law is against the constitution and law, a new law cannot be made in the presence of defamation ordinance and defamation act.
