ISLAMABAD: Khawar Farid Maneka challenged the acquittal of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Iddat case.

Khawar Maneka’s ex-husband of Bushra Bibi challenged the acquittal of Imran Khan and his wife in the Islamabad High Court in the Iddat case. The government, PTI founder, and his wife Bushra Bibi have been made parties.

In the petition, it has been argued that the appellate court ignored the important aspects of the case and annulled the sentence of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. The decision cannot stand legally.

It has been requested in the petition that the July 13 decision of the Additional Sessions Judge to allow the appeals against the sentence should be annulled. The February 3 decision of the trial court in the case should be reinstated and the sentence of both should be reinstated.
