E-Challan System introduced in Punjab
LAHORE: Punjab Government has introduced a modern traffic challan system under which now challan will be issued with proof.
The letter of Punjab Safe City Authority has said that there will be a heavy fine for violation of traffic rules and challan will be issued with proof for violation of the rules.
According to the letter, artificial intelligence and modern electronic traffic policing system have been started in Punjab like developed countries, checking of every smoke-emitting vehicle with modern cameras has also been started.
In the letter, it is stated that according to the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the series of electronic challans for violation of traffic and environmental laws is continuing through Safe City cameras in Lahore, while checking the smoke of vehicles, motorcycles and auto-rickshaws with modern cameras. The process is still ongoing.
It was further states that like the modern world, photos and videos of vehicles emitting smoke continue to be made in Lahore, a photo of a vehicle emitting smoke has also been placed in the electronic ticket.
In this regard, Senior Minister Punjab Maryam Aurangzeb said that the culture of traffic policing is changing under the supervision of Chief Minister Punjab, environmental protection and implementation of traffic laws are being ensured with modern technology.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that phase by step modern electronic traffic policing system will be implemented in every city of Punjab, with the cooperation of citizens, Punjab will become an ideal province with smog free and modern policing.
