PDMA declare 10 districts of Balochistan as calamity hit
QUETTA: Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) declared 10 districts of Balochistan province calamity hit following the heavy rains and directed all concerned district administrations to take measures.
According to the details, the Balochistan government declared 10 districts as calamities, the affected districts include Kalat, Ziarat, Sohbatpur, Lasbela, Awaran, Kachhi.
Apart from this, Jafarabad, Usta Muhammad, Loralai and Chagai are also included in the disaster affected districts.
PDMA directed all concerned district administrations to take action.
Deputy Commissioner has said that rains have damaged hundreds of slums in Usta Muhammad, while many canals have burst in Gandakha Tehsil due to flooding in rivers and hundreds of villages have been flooded due to the bursting of canals.
Due to the flood situation and lack of road in Usta Muhammad Tehsil Gandakha, the body of the woman was brought to the cemetery by tractor-trolley.
