The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast widespread rains accompanied by scattered heavy showers and gusty winds in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various parts of Pakistan on Tuesday night, continuing through the remainder of the week with occasional breaks.

A deep depression currently positioned north of Gujrat in India is expected to move towards neighboring areas of Pakistan, particularly Eastern Sindh, within the next 24 hours. This weather system will bring strong monsoon currents into the country, especially affecting the southern regions. Additionally, a westerly wave is likely to influence the upper parts of the country starting from August 29.

Under these conditions, widespread rains are expected in the twin cities and across much of Pakistan during the forecast period. Heavy showers accompanied by gusty winds and windstorms are also anticipated in scattered areas of Sindh, Punjab, and eastern and southern Balochistan.
