ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) stopped the trial court from pronouncing the final verdict in the £190 million case.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb heard the acquittal pleas of  Pakistan Thereek e Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the £190 million case.

Founder PTI and Bushra Bibi have approached the Islamabad High Court against the decision of the accountability court, seeking acquittal from the case and stay of the trial.

It has been argued in the petition that the trial court should be restrained from proceeding with the trial while the case is pending in the High Court.

The Islamabad High Court heard the petition and ordered that the trial court should complete the trial but not give the final decision.
