LAHORE: The Punjab government imposed Section 144 in 7 cities of province including Lahore during Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) exams.
On the instructions of the Punjab government, the Home Department has issued a notification, according to which Section 144 will be implemented in 7 cities of Punjab on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29.
According to the notification issued, Section 144 will be enforced at the examination centers of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan, while the ban around the examination centers will be enforced from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
No one except the candidates and supervisory staff will be allowed to enter the examination centres, besides the movement of non-related persons within 100 yards of the examination centers in 7 cities will also be restricted.
It should be noted that Punjab Public Service Commission has set up 25 examination centers in 7 cities for various examinations.
It should be noted that the Medical & Dental College Admission Test(MDCAT) entrance test was held on September 22 in 12 cities of Punjab, on this occasion mobile and internet services were suspended during the test to prevent duplication.
26 examination centers were set up in 12 districts of Punjab for the test, mobile and internet services were suspended within 500 meters of all examination centers.
