Sewerage line explosion in Sabzi Mandi area, Karachi

KARACHI: An explosion has been reported in Karachi near Super Highway in the Sabzi Mandi area.

According to the police, the explosion occurred as a result of gas accumulation in a sewerage line; however, the investigation is still active.

The CCTV footage of the site has also been obtained.

The footage shows a sewerage line — running near a private bank — exploding through the ground above. The event caused panic among the people as a motorcycle flew over a car, hitting its top.

No life was lost; however, a security guard had a close call.
