ISLAMABAD: Beenish Fatima, an officer of Punjab Police posted in Rawalpindi, received the prestigious ‘2024 IACP 40 Under 40’ award by the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

President International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) presented the International Award for IACP 2024 to Superintendent of Police (SP) Beenish Fatima in Boston.

Every year, the IACP selects the best officers from under 40 representatives from around the world and this organization aligns the protection of people of various communities around the world with the modern requirements.

Inspector General (IG) Punjab Usman Anwar while congratulating SP Beenish Fatima for making Pakistan famous around the world and winning the international award said that SP Beenish Fatima is a valuable asset of Punjab Police.

It should be noted that SP Beenish Fatima also has the honor of being the first woman Chief Traffic Officer of Rawalpindi.

Earlier,  In a significant move towards promoting renewable energy, all 737 police stations across Punjab, including those in Lahore, will be equipped with solar power systems.

This initiative was announced by the Inspector General (IG) of Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, who outlined the project’s phased implementation plan.

The rollout will occur in two stages. The first phase involves installing solar power systems at 350 police stations, including 40 stations in Lahore. The second phase, scheduled for the next fiscal year, will cover the remaining 375 police stations.

Each station will be outfitted with a 3-kilowatt solar power system and batteries to store energy, ensuring a steady electricity supply even during outages.
