RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed nine terrorists (Khwarji) including high profile ring leader in an intelligence based operation in Bajaur District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP).
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Bajaur District on reported presence of terrorists (Khwarij).
During conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists (Khwarij) location and after intense fire exchange, nine terrorists (Khwarij), including two Suicide Bombers and a high value target Kharji ring leader Said Muhammad @Qureshi Ustad were sent to hell.
A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered from killed terrorists (Khwarij), who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as innocent civilians.
Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists (Kharji) found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
Earlier, General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) on Thursday paid a visit to an operational air base of Pakistan Air Force(PAF) to witness the ongoing multinational exercise Indus Shield-2024.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS was received by Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu. Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf was also in presence at the occasion.
