KARACHI: The Sindh High Court(SHC) has stopped Dow University of Health Sciences to release thhe merit list by issuing stay order on Medical & Dental College Admission Test(MDCAT) results.

A hearing was held in the Sindh High Court on the case of irregularities in the MDCAT exam for admissions in medical and dental colleges.

The court issued stay order on the results and stopped the publication of the merit list, while the health secretary and the chief secretary have suggested forming a committee to investigate the allegations.

The court said that the committee should include Dr. Shereen Narejo CMIT, Director Cybercrime Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) ​​Karachi and Mureed Ali Rahman, former secretary of the board will also be a member of the committee to investigate criminal and civil charges.

The court said that the committee should complete the investigation of all the allegations within 15 days, the committee can get assistance from any institution.

The Sindh High Court said that the committee can ask for records from the universities and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council(PMDC) taking the test and take their objections from the applicants if any.
