ISLAMABAD: The government has started preparations to deal with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf(PTI) Islamabad march scheduled on November 24.

The federal government has started preparations to deal with PTI’s protest and possible sit-in and in this regard it has been decided to tighten security arrangements in the federal capital.

Islamabad Police has asked for 9,000 Rangers and Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel before November 22, while anti-riots kits have also been requested by the police authorities.

Section 144 has also been imposed in Islamabad for 2 months under which all public gatherings, processions, rallies and demonstrations of 5 or more people will be banned.

According to the sources, PTI has also completed the preparations for the protest in Islamabad and party sources claim that 10,000 workers have already reached Islamabad, Rawalpindi and nearby areas in this regard.

According to the sources, PTI is determined to get its founder out of jail and it is being said that party mandate has to be returned, while announcements are also being made not to return back until the demands are accepted.

It should be noted that PTI has called for a march towards the capital Islamabad as a decisive protest on November 24, while the party demanded the withdrawal of the 26th amendment, the release of arrested workers and the return of the electoral mandate.
