LAHORE: The Lahore has once again became the most polluted city in the Pakistan due to the polluted winds from India.

Winds from Indian Punjab started entering Pakistan due to which the air pollution in Punjab has increased again.

In the morning, the air quality in Lahore remained poor due to which Lahore became the most polluted city in the country where 459 particulate meters were recorded, while the number of particulate meters was 424 in Faisalabad, 378 in Multan and 275 in Rojhan.

On the other hand, a notification has been issued to relax the restrictions on reducing smog, after which recreational places across Punjab will open from today.

The Department of Meteorology said that there is no chance of rain in the plains of the country, the weather will remain cold and dry, while in Gilgit-Baltistan, apart from cloudy weather, there may be light rain at a few places and light snow on the mountains.

Despite this, the provincial capital remains heavily impacted by smog, recording an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 294 on Sunday morning. Nationally, Multan ranked second with an AQI of 256, followed by Rawalpindi at 188 and Peshawar at 170.
