PHC grants one-month protective bail to Salman Akram Raja
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday granted one-month protective bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja.
Justice Sahibzada Asadullah and Justice Waqar Ahmad of Peshawar High Court heard the protective bail plea of Salman Akram Raja.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that 8 FIRs have been registered against Salman Akram Raja, in 8 cases he has obtained bail. He stated 8 cases are known while the rest are unknown.
The court granted Salman Akram Raja one month’s protective bail and ordered the police not to arrest him in the listed cases.
Earlier, Peshawar High Court (PHC) had granted transit bail to former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar till December 31.
Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim of Peshawar High Court heard Asad Qaisar’s petition for bail in 3 cases.
After the hearing, the court granted transit bail to Asad Qaisar till December 31 and also ordered him not to be arrested in the registered cases till December 31.
