KARACHI: Sindh Government has imposed Section 144 for 2 days in connection of New Year in Karachi city, banning aerial firing, use of fire crackers and carrying firearms.

According to the notification issued by the Sindh Ministry of Home, Section 144 has been implemented in Karachi from December 31 to January 1.

According to the notification, aerial firing and fireworks will be banned in the city on the occasion of New Year.

It should be noted that every year on the occasion of New Year, many people are injured and killed in the incidents that happen after the aerial firing and fireworks.

Earlier, Sindh Government has imposed Section 144 in Karachi for 2 days and a notification has also been issued.

Section 144 has been imposed in Karachi for two days,  ban restricts all protests, processions, and public events during this time. Ban will be imposed till 18 and 19 October.
