8 killed, several injured in blast at ordnance factory in India
KARACHI: At least eight people were killed and several others injured in a massive blast at ordnance factory in Maharashrta state of India.
According to Indian media, an explosion took place on Friday at an arms factory in Nagpur city of Maharashtra, which was heard about 5 km away.
Indian media said that the factory blast killed 8 factory workers and injured seven, which has also been confirmed by the Union Minister.
According to the Indian media, the explosion in the Ordnance Factory took place at 10:30 am on Friday morning in the LTP section.
As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade and rescue personnel reached the accident site and immediately shifted the injured to the hospital.
According to the fire officials, the explosion was so intense that the roof of the factory collapsed under which the workers were buried, out of which three workers were rescued alive and one died under the debris.
