Man gets 6-month jail for 2nd marriage without first wife’s consent
LADHORAN: The family court awarded a six-month imprisonment to a man for contracting a second marriage without the permission of his first wife with fine of Rs 500,000.
Shakila Bibi, a resident of Tehsil Kahror Pakka of Lodhran District, had filed a writ petition against her husband Mohsin in the civil court against her second marriage without permission.
After completing the hearing of the case, Judge Family Court Tahira Shahzad Khan sentenced the criminal Mohsin to 6 months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 500,000.
In case of non-payment of fine, the offender will have to undergo 2 months additional imprisonment.
After the court verdict, the police arrested the accused from the court room and shifted him to Central Jail Bahawalpur
Earlier, seven-year old boy Sarim has gone missing from North Nazimabad area of Karachi since last two day.
The Sarim has been missing for two days after leaving to attend madrassa in North Karachi. The family of Sarim has registered FIR of missing child fearing abduction. A case of alleged kidnapping of 7-year-old Sarim, a resident of North Karachi, has been registered after 2 days.
According to the details, 7-year-old boy Sarim was not found in North Karachi despite the passing of two days.
