KARACHI: Prince Karim Agha Khan, the spiritual leader of the Ismaili community, passed away in Lisbon at the age of 88.

According to the statement, Prince Karim Agha Khan died February 4 in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. He was 88 years old. At the time of the death, Shah Karim’s family was present.

Maulana Shah Karim al-Husseini was the 49th Imam of the Ismaili community.

Prince Karim Agha Khan’s three sons are Rahim Agha Khan, Ali Mohammad Agha Khan and Hussain Agha Khan while one daughter is Zahra Agha Khan.

Maulana Shah Karim’s funeral prayer has been announced in Lisbon, but the burial place has not yet been announced.

Date and time will be announced when arrangements are finalized. The funeral will attend the funeral of Shah Karim’s family and senior leader of the party and members of the Imamat Institutions.

The members of the party have been requested not to try to attend the funeral prayer unless they are invited. The funeral will be arranged to be shown directly.

Special prayers have been launched in the congregation around the world on the death of Prince Karim Agha Khan. Until the announcement of the new leader, the Ismaili community’s official website will continue to glorify Durood.

Special prayers will also be sought under Muslim traditions on the 40th occasion of Prince Karim Agha Khan.

On the other hand, under tradition, his successor, the 50th present Imam of the Ismaili community, has been nominated.
