ATC extends physical remand of accused in Mustafa Amir’s murder case
KARACHI: An anti -terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday extended the remand of Armaghan in the Mustafa Amir’s murder case for six days.
The investigating officer (IO) in the Mustafa Amir murder case presented the accused Armaghan and Sheeraz in court for further remand on Tuesday. The court inquired whether medical of the accused had been conducted. The investigating officer replied that he has done.
The accused’s lawyer told the court that Armaghan was tortured on the first day and so far the accused has been in the police custody for 15 days, and now he has no justification for keeping the custody.
The public prosecutor told the court that the accused also injured others from the device. The investigation officer has sought more time to recovered weapon used in murder and its forensic.
The court asked how many FIRs has been lodged against the accused. The government lawyer said we have four FIRs against the accused.
After hearing the case, ATC extended Armaghan’s remand for six days.
Earleir, National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior has ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate the Mustafa Aamir murder case.
The case of Mustafa Aamir, who was killed after being abducted by a friend, has also reached the National Assembly. After that, the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to probe the matter.
On the other hand, the Anti –Narcotics Force (ANF) has also been ordered to investigate the Mustafa Aamir murder case.
