
Three policemen injured in cracker attack in Karachi
KARACHI: At least four people including three policemen were injured after unknown assailants hurled cracker attack on police camp in Quaidabad area of Karachi.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)Malir, a cracker was attacked at a police camp in Quaidabad in which policemen, including passenger, were injured.
Police said the suspects threw a cracker from the Quaidabad bridge, in result three policemen and a passenger were injured in the attack. All the injured are being shifted to the hospital.
According to SSP Malir, investigations have been launched by sealing the scene.
Authorities say Russian -made cracker were used in an attack on a police Eid security camp in Quaidabad.
Bomb Disposal officials said that Russian -made grenades were used in the attack on police in Quaidabad, 64 grams of ammunition is used in RGD One hand grenade.
On the other hand, Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori contacted SSP Malir and directed a thorough investigation of the incident and the arrest of the accused.
Governor Sindh said that every possible step should be taken to ensure law and order in Karachi.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Sindh also sought report of the incident and directed to ensure the arrest of the accused.
