Four Levies personnel martyred in armed attack in Khuzdar

QUETTA: At least four Levies personnel were martyred when unidentified armed men attacked the Samand Levies check post in Khuzdar, Balochistan.

Deputy Commissioner(DC) Khuzdar Yasir Iqbal Dashti confirmed the tragic incident and stated that armed attackers from a hilly area opened fire on Levies personnel on duty at the Samand Levies check post.

He said that the return fire continued for a long time but the accused escaped due to the hilly area.

According to Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar, four Levies personnel were martyred as a result of the firing.

The law enforcement agencies (LEA) have cordoned off the area, and the bodies are being shifted to the Teaching Hospital.
