
NCCIA registers cases against 5 people on misleading propaganda
ISLAMABAD: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has registered cases against five people for allegedly running a hate campaign against state institutions on social media.
The agency has taken action following an investigation into coordinated online activity deemed harmful to the integrity of national institutions.
The case states that the accused are involved in misleading propaganda against state institutions on social media. The accused shared false and provocative material during the Pak -India tension.
The NCCIA said that the suspects were constantly involved in the promotion of misleading content on social media, promotional material was hating and spreading panic among the public.
The NCCIA added that the accused tried to dissatisfied, anxiety, dissatisfaction against the state. According to the law, legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused.
