
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has launched a new program to provide insulin to children suffering from diabetes.
The Chief Minister personally visited homes in various parts of Lahore, accompanied by riders to give out special ‘CM Insulin Cards’ to sick children.
During one visit to Q Block Sabzazar, CM Maryam Nawaz handed over insulin cards to young children. Kids like Wasay Adnan, Zainab Waheed, and Zain Shahzad also received important supplies such as glucometers, blood sugar strips (BSR), and needle boxes.
On this occasion the chief minister of Maryam Nawaz said that she can understand the pain and struggling of children suffering from diabetes “The government will personally reach out to those children who cannot afford medicine or insulin,” she affirmed.
It is worth mentioning that under the first phase of the Free Insulin Program, insulin will be delivered to the doorsteps of 1,500 children.
