KARACHI: The World Athletics Federation has unveiled its latest global rankings for javelin throw, with Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem securing the fourth position.

According to the newly released rankings by the World Athletics Federation, Arshad Nadeem holds the fourth spot among the world’s top javelin throwers. Despite competing in only one event since the Paris Olympics this year, Nadeem has maintained his ranking with a total of 1,370 points.

Arshad Nadeem notably clinched a gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championship. However, his ranking has not improved further due to his limited participation in ranking events. He is expected to compete in two to three more events before the World Championship in September with hopes of improving his ranking points this year.

Meanwhile, India’s Neeraj Chopra has claimed the top spot in the rankings, surpassing Anderson Peters of Grenada. Chopra now leads with 1445 points. Anderson Peters of Grenada is currently in second place with 1431 points, while Germany’s Julian Weber holds the third position with 1407 points.
