KARACHI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has approved the challan in the high-profile Mustafa Amir murder case.
The case, which involves the brutal killing of Mustafa Amir in the Defence area of Karachi, has now been transferred to the trial court for further proceedings.
According to the challan approved by the administrative judge of the ATC, the accused, Armaghan, has confessed to torturing Mustafa Amir, injuring him, and subsequently setting the vehicle on fire, resulting in his death.
According to police, the case of the abduction of Mustafa Amir has been registered in the case of the victim’s mother while the accused in the murder case, Armaghan and Shiraz, are arrested.
It is worth noting that Mustafa Amir was abducted on January 6, and nearly a month later, on February 8, police launched a recovery operation at a bungalow in Karachi’s Defence, Khayaban-e-Momin area.
During the raid, suspects opened fire on the police, resulting in a gunfight in which a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and two other officers sustained injuries.
The incident added a violent turn to the already high-profile abduction and murder case.
Police detained the accused Armaghan, who during the interrogation revealed that he, along with Shiraz, had put Mustafa in his car and burned it.
