ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has departed for Washington, D.C., to finalize a key bilateral trade agreement with the United States.

According to details, the minister is expected to oversee the signing of a mutually agreed tariff deal ahead of the August 1, 2025 deadline. The agreement aims to strengthen economic ties and enhance trade cooperation between the two countries.

Finance Minister Mohammed Aurangzeb attended a meeting in the Prime Minister’s Office, after which he was instructed to leave for Washington so that a trade agreement with the United States could be reached before the possible deadline.

To be clear, this deadline for a trade deal with the United States has been given by the Trump administration.

Earlier,  We are ready to negotiate with India at any corner of the world. There is no possibility for peace without resolution of Kashmir in the region.

While holding a news conference at the Pakistan Mission in New York, Dar said that Pakistan is ready to hold talks with India at any location in the world. However, he emphasized that lasting peace in the region is not possible without a resolution of the Kashmir issue.

Criticizing past policies, he admitted that opening the border and allowing militants to operate freely was a mistake. Ishaq Dar also made it clear that the ceasefire between Pakistan and India is still being observed, which is a sign of reduced tensions in the region.
