
KP records 756 terrorism cases in first six months of 2025
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has witnessed hundreds of terror-related incidents in first six months of 2025, according to a police report issued.
According to the report, a total of 756 cases related to terrorism were registered in various police stations across the province between January 1 and July 1, 2025.
During the same period, 94 cases of extortion, 41 incidents of targeted killings, and 38 cases of kidnapping were also recorded in different districts of the province.
There have been 80 IEDs and 5 suicide attacks in different districts so far this year in Pakhtunkhwa. 12 missile attacks, 35 grenade attacks were also reported across the province, 269 incidents of firing on police and other officials were reported.
According to the report, 44 cases were registered on cooperation with the terrorists and 13 cases for the terrorist financing.
