Islamabad: Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja recently met with a delegation from Arizona State University and the National Institute of Technology, where she received a briefing on bilateral collaboration in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced technology.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the establishment of AI research centers in Pakistan, specifically with the collaboration of Arizona State University. The Federal Minister welcomed the cooperation between the National Institute of Technology Lahore and Arizona State University, stating that such partnerships are crucial milestones for promoting technology-related education and research.

She expressed satisfaction that Pakistani students are gaining access to world-class AI research and digital skills through this initiative.

Federal Minister Khawaja further emphasized that the Ministry of IT is actively working to establish a robust AI ecosystem in Pakistan. This includes setting up AI hubs, developing a National AI Policy, and fostering international partnerships.

She highlighted that Pakistan is moving in the right direction under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of a “Digital Nation Pakistan,” where international cooperation is central to national development.
