
Pakistan reports another polio case
ISLAMABAD: Another case of polio has been reported in Pakistan, bringing the total number of affected children this year to 14, according to the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC).
The 14th case of 2025 has been confirmed in North Waziristan, NEOC stated. According to the Polio Reference Laboratory, the affected child is 19 months old.
According to the NEOC, eight polio cases were reported from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four from Sindh, one from Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan, this year.
The NEOC says that a special vaccination campaign will be launched soon in 11 union councils in North Waziristan, and parents should be given polio drops to children in every campaign.
