ISLAMABAD: A speculation grows over the possible ousting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held key meetings with Governor KP Faisal Karim Kundi and Awami National Party (ANP) leader and Senator Aimal Wali Khan.
Governor Kundi briefed the Prime Minister on the recent tragic incident in the Swat River during their meeting. Federal Ministers Amir Muqam, Rana Mubashir Iqbal, Rana Sanaullah, and Abdul Rehman Kanju were also present at the meeting.
The Prime Minister directed the concerned agencies to increase their ability to remedy events like Swat.
According to the statement, the overall domestic situation was also discussed in the meeting of the Prime Minister and Governor KP.
After the meeting, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that “if a member of the opposition also got more, it was his right to change the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government”.
Governor KP said that after the restoration of specific seats, the new situation was also discussed with the Prime Minister. His own people are sufficient to plot against Ali Amin Gandapur.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met Awami National Party President Emal Wali Khan.
The meeting discussed the overall and political situation of the country. Federal Ministers, Minister of State for Power Division, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs and Assistant Special Affairs were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stated that no amount of pressure could bring down his government through constitutional means. He went on to challenge all state institutions, declaring that if his government were toppled, he would quit politics altogether.
