ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have suspended two constables for breaching the department’s social media policy and ordered them to report to Rescue 15.

Constable Aftab Ahmed, affiliated with the Dolphin Squad, and Constable Ehtesham Aslam from Rescue 15 were found sharing inappropriate content on social media while in uniform—an act that violates the official code of conduct.

According to DIG Islamabad Police Jawad Tariq, the content quickly gained traction online, leading to swift disciplinary action against the officers.

He said the content shared by the officers went viral online, prompting immediate disciplinary action from Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad Police, Jawad Tariq.

He said DIG  Tariq took serious notice of the matter, emphasizing that Islamabad Police is a professional and disciplined force, and any actions that undermine its integrity and public trust will not be tolerated.

He said a formal inquiry has been launched, and further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.

He added that all personnel have been reminded to strictly adhere to departmental policies, particularly regarding the responsible use of social media, and to avoid any conduct that could damage the image of the police force.
