ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Minister of Turkey Hakan Fidan arrived in Islamabad on an official visit aimed at enhancing cooperation and further solidifying the historic ties between the two brotherly nations.
Upon arrival, the Turkish Minister was warmly received by Additional Secretary (West Asia) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Syed Ali Asad Gillan.
During his visit, the Turkish Minister is scheduled to hold meetings with senior Pakistani officials to discuss key issues of mutual interest, particularly in the fields of defence collaboration, regional security, and strategic cooperation.
According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the purpose of the visit is to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries and enhance bilateral cooperation for regional peace.
Turkish media reports that officials from both nations will review progress following the Strategic Cooperation Council meeting held in Islamabad.
The two sides will also assess preparations for the next expected session of the Council, scheduled to be held in Türkiye in 2026.
